The Pinot Noir grape attains its athletic peak of prowess in this small hillside vineyard on the Southern side of the Burgundy region. Bathed in sunlight during the day with cooling breezes from the nearby Alpine foothills and rich ancient soils, the vines brim with luxuriating generosity of black cherry, purple plum, and traces of nutmeg, clove and pie crust aromas that yield to a glove leather textured finish, after 2+ hours of decanting. A classic partner with French gourmet classics, e.g. escargot, rabbit, Boeuf Bourguignon, Beef Wellington, Foie Gras, goose/duck/pheasant and Salmon dishes.
