Non Vintage-De Kuyper Mandarine Napoleon Liqueur
Originally developed by European monks who fermented Mandarin Orange peel and then distilled it diligently before aging the essence for many years to mellow the fruit acids. The result set the standard for luxury orange liqueurs in the old world and subsequently copied by many imitators since. Intensely fruity and medium sweet it does not come across as cloying or syrupy, but as excitingly aromatic with a refreshing citrusy zing akin to fresh, ripe small oranges with a tad of caramel and toffee undercurrent flavors. A fabulous after dinner “digestif” (digestive aid) or basting accent for canard a l’orange (orange crusted roast duckling). Serve in a snifter at body temperature.
